On December 17th, all students will be participating in our World Winter Celebration.
Students will choose a winter celebration—such as Hanukkah, Christmas, or Kwanzaa— and present about them to the rest of the school. This is an opportunity for students to share what they have learned, and for the school as a whole to celebrate the differences within our local and global community.
Students will use a variety of methods to present their findings, such as cooking, music, speaking, writing, or Power Point presentations.
Concurrently, our art classes will focus on the winter solstice and its meaning to ancient people, and explore the aspects of dark and light in art.
