World Read Aloud Day

Wednesday, March 6th, was World Read Aloud Day. This is a day to celebrate the power of words, especially those words that are shared from one person to another.

The Pre-Primary unit invited one of Oxford’s most beloved children’s librarians, Tari Tharp, to come read to our class on Tuesday. Before her retirement, she was a librarian for 37 years and led the story hour at Lane Library for countless years.

Tari brought with her some of her favorite books, fingerplays, and felt board stories which got us all laughing, moving, and reading.

We’d like to a extend huge thanks to Tari for sharing the gift of reading with us!
