Upper Unit Library Grand Opening

ribboncutting

The Upper Unit celebrated the opening of their library with a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday. Beloved McGuffey founding director Janet Kretschmer joined us to preside over the event.

The library will be maintained by a rotating student librarian, and the Upper Unit students will be encouraged to curate special collections throughout the year. There will also be a recommendation list, so students who have enjoyed particular books can suggest them to their classmates.

Huge thanks to Matt and Allison, the Upper Unit’s Humanities: English Language Arts teachers, for all their hard work this summer preparing the library for the students.
