A McGuffey family has donated 7 new Orff instruments. There are glockenspiels, a metallophone and xylophones. We began using them this week and the kids took off playing them. All their hard work in the fall paid off. They were able to learn a new song (the folk songĀ Charlie Over the OceanĀ ), learn accompanying rhythms and in turn, play those rhythms on the Orff instruments, thus accompanying themselves. We were all flying high with excitement!
The Orff instruments are here!!
