McGuffey was very fortunate to host the Miami University Heifner Zoology lecturer Friday morning. Dr. David Guggenheim, also known as the Ocean Doctor, came and spoke on marine biology and the current threats to marine habitats. He is traveling around the country in an attempt to reach as many schools as possible to spread the love of the oceans and their inhabitants and the love of the science. He shared with us a tremendous presentation full of magnificent underwater photos and videos he took on his many trips in the deep waters all over the world. We all were delighted and amazed.
