The Musical and then some

022114_01Grades 1-8 have been working hard on the musical, The Phantom Tollbooth, but not non-stop. We take frequent breaks to clear our heads and ears and do something completely different. Sometimes we work on gross motor to get out extra wiggles; sometimes we review past theory lessons. Last week, we used Valentine’s Day to learn a new song and dance, Heel, Toe.  Although the title doesn’t sound Valentines-ish, the text is a funny Valentine’s query and the ‘magic’ dance leads each person around a circle, changing partners until they get back to their original starting place. The entire school loved the dance and we all laughed our way through the funny words and ‘magic’ dance steps. Now, back to work on our musical!
