Quentin Russell, Upper Unit
Quentin graduated from Miami University in December 2016 with a degree in English Language Arts Education for Grades 7-12 and a minor in Creative Writing. Through college, he ended up teaching or tutoring students in pre-school, elementary school, middle school, high school, and college (not all at the same time). However, none of this was in a Montessori setting, so Quentin is particularly excited to explore the range of different lessons and projects that can be accomplished through of the unique style of McGuffey Montessori.
For those who are curious, Quentin is a strong constructivist and believes in student-centric and play-centric learning, and his main teaching/learning influences are John Andrew Rice, John Dewey, Josh Waitzkin, Jim Burke, and Arthur Applebee.
In his free time, he enjoys Jiu Jitsu at the local Soma Academy and cooking or running with his wife, Melissa.
