There’s nothing better than a fresh, crisp apple on a cool autumn day.

One day last week, students in Lower Elementary peeled and cored some apples for their Practical Life curriculum. They all had a blast using the “old-fashioned” apple peeler/corer, and they really enjoyed the spaghetti-like apple peel that they ended up with (in addition to the rest of the apple).

Several students enjoyed the process so much that they moved their morning work out to the picnic tables so they could be nearer to the excitement when the rest of their classmates had a turn!
