O Canada!

Today the preschool began a week of discussion about Canada. We watched a short video about a child who lives in Canada, and followed she and her family as they went snow-shoeing and ice skating on theĀ Rideau Canal.

Then we hopped on Skype and talked to a family who used to live in Oxford, but now lives in Quebec. They talked about the similarities and differences between the United States and Canada. We discovered that today is their Thanksgiving! We also got to hear them speak to us in French, since that is the primary language in Quebec.

A special thanks to Kate, Zoe, Henry, and Eva for joining us virtually in our classroom!

We will be talking about every continent and many different countries over the next few months. If you happen to know an English-speaking family in another country who we can talk to via Skype, please let us know so we can make the connection!
