Math Night was a great success. Kids and their parents had fun making gliders, origami hats and canoes (out of dollar bills) and string art designs. Kaleb won the guessing jar for the primary level and Camille won for the Intermediate and Upper. Â Thanks to Heidi for the popcorn.
6th grade students are continuing to work with decimals. We have learned about comparing and ordering them. This week we began looking at addition by using Base Ten Block.
7th grade students are beginning their work with proportions and will finish up Unit 4 by investigating similar figures—especially triangles.
Stock Market Game has been a real challenge so far this year. From the markets closing because of Hurricane Sandy to the recents highs and lows, students are getting a real taste of what these changes can mean to their investments.
