As the school year winds down, we want to make sure all families have some important dates on their calendars.
Tuesday, May 31: SOAR Donations due
Please collect all donations from your sponsors and bring them Heidi. Later in the week we will be taking a check to the Oxford Community Choice Pantry.
Thursday, June 2: Kindergarten and 8th Grade breakfast
At 9:00am the eighth graders and their Kindergarten partners will go to Bob Evans for breakfast. Graziella will accompany the group.
Thursday, June 2: Graduation
Graduation will take place at Souers Recital Hall on Miami University’s Campus at 6:30pm. All McGuffey students are typically involved in graduation through singing or presentations, so we encourage all students and their families to attend.
Friday, June 3: Hueston Woods
Students will spend the day at Hueston Woods. Students will depart via bus from school at 10am and return around 2pm.
Monday, June 6: Last Day of School and Egg Drop
Please join us for a potluck picnic lunch on that day (families invited), and parents will be able to take their kids home right after the annual Egg Drop—Egg Drop information to follow in the next few days. There will be no Extended Day on June 6th!
The 2011/12 Academic Calendar
Please take a moment to view the Talawanda School District academic calendar for 2011/12. Due to the anticipated move to the new high school over Winter Break, the calendar has significant changes from previous years. As we follow Talawanda’s academic calendar these dates are important for McGuffey families as well.
