On Monday, the kids all got a libretto for our spring musical, School House Rock Live, Jr. They learned the word libretto, meaning little book in Italian, is what musicians call a vocal score. Libretti is the proper plural for libretto. First thing, the kids each put their name on their libretto and then we looked around to see what was in it – everything they will need to learn the show! Dialogue, vocal scores, character breakdowns, it’s all there. They used highlighters to mark the chorus parts of A Noun Is A Perfect Place or Thing and after a quick warm up, we got singing. We’re on our way!
