As they study communities and begin to build their own Imaginary Community, Kindergarteners took a field trip to learn about the work that happens to keep the City of Oxford a wonderful place. They got to touch vehicles from the City of Oxford Fire Department, City of Oxford, Ohio – Division of Police, the Service Department, and got to see a drone in action!
Kindergarteners toured the municipal building and asked questions to the staff. They finished up with some important citizen work, talking about what they think Oxford needs. High on the list were more slides, pools, and parks.
