The 8th grade are going to be reading the epic poem, Beowulf, translation by Nobel Prize recipient Seamus Heaney. They will also be viewing– Beowulf, a Robert Zemeckis film and excerpts from Beowulf and Grendel Beneath the Legend Lies the Tale. The movie, Beowulf, is rated PG-13. Beowulf and Grendel is rated R, so they will view only specific selections for comparison.
