Intermediate: Multiplication, division, lenses, and mirrors

Intermediate math students continue to work on division, practicing their skills and relating it to multiplication. Please take some time to quiz your children on their multiplication tables: 1-10 (4th grade) and 1-12 (5th grade). The more comfortable they are with their multiplication facts, the easier division will be. Your help at home can make all the difference in how fast your student moves forward in this topic.

In science, the students also explored lenses and mirrors by constructing a mirror maze. Heidi is looking forward to next week when we build a HUGE one as a class! To reinforce their understanding, they also were able to play the game “Khet”. Its like a game of chess with lasers and mirrors—what’s not to love?
