The 6th grade students have begun Pre-Algebra. This past week we reviewed the coordinate axis system and how to plot points. As a fun activity each student created an apple by plotting given points and then connecting them. They all said that this was a lot like “Connect the Dots” but they had to put the dots in first. Each student has a favorite type of apple so they each colored their creation according to their taste (pun intended). We ended up with a Golden Delicious, a Red Delicious, and a Granny Smith.
