HOPE for Japan

Many of us have wondered how we can help the people in Japan who are reeling from the earthquake and tsunami. Our children are wondering how they can help as well.

The Miami Japanese Culture and Language Club has put together a relief effort to raise funds for Japan. Their idea is to collect change at various locations around Oxford. Even the smallest donation can add up to create a huge gift. Every penny counts!

The JCLC has set up donation jars at Kofenya, Bill’s Art Store, Bruno’s, SDS, Morning Sun Cafe, Juniper, Ace Hardware, Arabian Nights. They will also have donation stations at the Farmer School of Business during the week of April 11-15 and at the International Fair in uptown Oxford on April 15. They are also selling t-shirts to raise funds.

For more information, you can download their informational flyer.

The JCLC will be collecting funds until April 15th, and all donations will benefit the Japanese Red Cross.
