Field Trip to Butterfield Farms

On Tuesday, October 25, all students Kindergarten through 6th grade will take a trip to Butterfield Farms. There they will enjoy they straw bale maze, take a hayride around the farm and feed corn to the cows, take a run through the corn maze and finally choose a small pie pumpkin to take home with them.
We will leave McGuffey at 11:45 am and return back to school near 3 pm. The students will eat their lunch prior to the trip here at school a little bit early, so no microwave lunches, 6th graders! We ask that the students wear clothing appropriate for the weather, as they will be outside for almost 3 hours. (This includes shoes, as the ground may be muddy with all of our rain).
We are happy to provide apples and snacks for the students and they will have a chance to take a rest and enjoy the snack at a picnic table while they are there.
The cost per student for the field trip is $5. Please bring this by Tuesday morning in a sealed envelope with your child/children’s name(s) on the front. If anyone is concerned about being able to afford the cost, please contact Al, and we would be happy to arrange it so that everyone can still come.
The weather looks sunny and in the 60’s, so lets hope the forecast is correct!
