Last weekend, the 6th grade Cloud Club participants very much enjoyed the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s performance of The Merchant of Venice. The theater was small and intimate so when the actors faced the audience with one of Shakespeare’s difficult questions we really felt as if we were a part of the scene. The play gave us a opportunity to think about and discuss religious prejudice, bullying, social class, what’s funny and what is more akin to tragedy.
