CGI math is fun!

If you have your Primary child saying they did CGI Math today, you are probably wondering what it is. If you look at the pictures, you can see one child counting cubes, Carla helping another, and still another working on an answer.

CGI stands for Cognitive Guided Instruction. It offers different types of story problems using a variety of operations which are based on the children’s experiences. All story problems have three different levels, and students get to choose which level they would like to do. After all are finished, three students are chosen to explain their strategy.

On September 27, the Primary Curriculum Night,  Carla will be explaining and demonstrating CGI.
