Earlier in the school year, all students from Kindergarten through 8th grade participated in a unit on Saint-Saëns beloved work, “The Carnival of the Animals.” This past week, over 40 McGuffey family members attended the Cincinnati Pops performance of the piece. As part of their Lollipops series devoted to music aimed at younger audiences, we enjoyed a music program centered around animals that included not only the terrific pops orchestra, but ballet dancers as well! As an extra bonus, two of our students also played violin in a pre-concert performance. What a fantastic culmination of our studies!
