The 7th graders are moving nicely through the Algebra I curriculum. We are about to finish our second unit – Working with Real Numbers. The new concepts introduced in this unit were Distributive Property and Problem Solving with Consecutive Integers. We also took some time to look at how to read/use the textbook as a resource.
6th graders have begun Pre-Algebra. Recently we have been doing a lot of work with integers (positive and negative). Students have been introduced to all the the operations with integers and are practicing these skills in Learning Studio. They have also begun to work with writing and naming algebraic expressions using Algebra TIles.
The Stock Market Game is almost over (4/26). While our teams have not fared as well as we hoped, we are happy with our standings.
