Thanks to the generous folks at the Friends of the Oxford Lane Library, the Primary unit was treated to a visit from Cincinnati Children’s book author and illustrator, Will Hillenbrand. Mr. Hillenbrand is known for such wonderful books as Louie, Kite Day, and Down by the Station.
Mr. Hillenbrand talked to our children about what he was like as a little boy, and how he was drawing (sometimes mischievously) even then. He drew for us as he talked, keeping our students’ full attention! He read aloud from one of his books, having the children help tell the story with their words, sounds, and hands. He even shared with us some of his early sketches from one of his books.
