As part of the Primary Peace curriculum, we read The Listening Walk, a book about a father and daughter who take a walk in silence, but mindfully listen to the world around them.

We thought this would a fun exercise to do with our Upper Elementary Partners. We took a silent walk in the natural areas behind the school, carefully listening to the world around us. After our walk, we convened to share what we heard. We were so quiet that we found a small toad! It was a great reminder of what we might encounter when we move more mindfully through our day.
