Shake. Fold.

The entire school is out to help the McGuffey community and the world community as well! Music class is a great place to spread a message since every student comes through in a week. After watching a TedTalk Video, the students and faculty have learned that the key to only using one paper towel is to shake then fold. We learned through the video that if we could all reduce by just ONE paper towel a day, we could save 571,230,000 pounds of paper towel waste in America every year. Ingrid also shared with us that each paper towel costs one penny. After some figuring we realized just one penny can add up to quite a savings when we figured in all of our students and faculty, days of school, how many times we wash our hands and that many of us use 3 and 4 paper towels each time now. Here are some pictures of shaking and fold hands AND bodies!

Want to help? Check out the TedTalk below. It’s short, charming, and you’ll never forget to shake and fold again!
