Allison Huff—(Extended Care Coordinator)
Alli Huff graduated in 2018 from Miami University with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education, with a focus in teaching English Language Learners. She is currently working towards her M.Ed. in Transformative Education at Miami, and plans to graduate in May 2020. Alli’s passion for progressive schools led her to McGuffey in early 2018. She started working in our Extended Day program, and is now coordinating the Extended Day program as well as working in Lower Elementary and spends a bit of time in Primary as well.
Alli lives in Oxford and loves being adventurous and spending time outdoors. She enjoys traveling with her husband, barrel racing, and wakeboarding!
Emily is a student at Miami University and toured McGuffey last year through an education course. She is from St. Louis and studying Early Childhood Education. Emily started with us in fall 2019.
Renee began working with McGuffey Montessori School, where her nephews were enrolled, in the winter of 2017. She loves her dual roles as an early care provider and office assistant. McGuffey is a natural fit for Renee because she enjoys spending time with kids of all ages and has spent her lifetime helping others. McGuffey benefits from Renee’s unique skillset acquired through seven years of nursing and over twenty years as a restaurateur and caterer.
Renee lived on both coasts prior to moving to Oxford. She has five grown children and fifteen grandchildren who she adores. Renee loves to travel for both recreation and family. She is also a voracious reader and foodie.
Fab is part of the Extended Day crew on Wednesdays and occasionally assists in the office and as a substitute teacher. She came on board after her children began attending McGuffey five years ago.
Fab enjoys keeping the students’ minds and bodies active during after school activities. On days when she is not working Extended Day, Fab works at Miami University’s ice rink.Fab has two children who attend McGuffey and enjoys playing ice hockey, broomball, softball, street hockey, etc.
Judith staffs Early Care on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Judith has a degree from Miami University and a Master of Library and Information Science from University of Kentucky. Judith’s son is a junior at Butler Tech and her daughter will be a freshman at Talawanda High School. Judith began her involvement at McGuffey in 2008 when her son started Kindergarten here and we’re happy to have her continue even now that her two children have graduated.
Alana attends Miami University and is from West Chester. Alana toured McGuffey through an education course and is studying Early Childhood Education.
Natalie is a student at Miami University who toured McGuffey through an education course. Natalie is from Medina, Ohio studying Adolescent and Young Adult Science Education.
Amy started working for us in 2017 and we are very happy to have her back. Amy is from Hudson and studying in Early Childhood Education.
DeAndre Williams, Classroom Assistant
DeAndre “Dean” Williams moved to Oxford from Prince George’s County, Maryland at the end of 2019 to join the staff of McGuffey Montessori as a classroom assistant, substitute teacher, and Ex-Day helper. While in school, Dean spent two years as Lead Tutor for Going To Another Level After school tutoring and athletic program. Although Dean recently made Ohio his home, his relationship with the Cincinnati area dates back to 2017, where he served his first of three consecutive summers in the Breakthrough Collaborative program as a Teaching Fellow, expanding his role in his third year to Administrator of the Upper Grades. Outside of leading in the classroom, Dean can be found playing or coaching basketball, reading, writing music, and reciting poetry.
