The primary responsibility of the Board is to set policy which supports the long-term health of the school. Their role includes hiring, supporting and evaluating the Head of School while the Head of School and the staff handle day-to-day school operations.

The board is seeking applications for these open positions by May 4. If you are interested in applying, please consider coming to the next board meeting on May 2 at 7pm in the Main Building. Applicants will need to be available for a board training in May (date to be determined soon).

The trustees meet monthly. Meeting dates are posted on the school public calendar. Board meetings are open to the membership (parents and guardians) from 6:30-7pm. At 7pm the board goes into executive session.

To apply for a position on the board of trustees or to nominate someone, please send a completed application to the board.

Elections are typically held in the spring semester for three-year terms beginning July 1. Mid-term vacancies may be filled by special election. It is always helpful to have a list of parents who are interested in serving on the board. The best board candidates have leadership and networking qualities, have been involved in a variety of school-related activities, and can bring a needed expertise or perspective to their role or to the school.
