Ayelet as a child.
Ayelet Yariv, Art Teacher, Lower Elementary Classroom Assistant and Extended Care
Ayelet’s main field of interest has always been visual art and design. She has been active in the field of costume and stage design for performing arts, as well as graphic design and art. Over the last few years, her career has shifted toward the field of education; she now combines her passion for creativity with the joy of working alongside children and helping them find their own creative spirit. Ayelet joined the McGuffey family as a substitute teacher in 2015. She enjoys the experience of supporting each child’s independent learning process through her time as a sub. She also took part in McGuffey’s musical production of Alice in Wonderland, Jr., designing costumes and involving the students themselves in the design process. In addition to wearing the hats of art teacher and costume designer, Ayelet is now part of the Extended Day team twice a week, a Classroom Assistant in Lower Elementary four days a week and is our long-term substitute teacher for Art.
Ayelet moved to Oxford in 2013 with her husband and their two boys. She enjoys creating and crafting, sewing, and baking. She is nourished by visual art and performing arts. She loves puppets and dolls making, and wants to be a puppeteer when she grows up.
